I am a total skincare junkie. Whenever there is a weird and wonderful launch, I’m on it like a rash. There was nothing different when I finally got my hands on the new Drops of Youth™ Bouncy Sleeping Mask from The Body Shop.

If you know me, then you’ll know that a great place to start for skincare is to go to somewhere like The Body Shop who have shops up and down the high street (and not forgetting a really, really good website). No matter what age you are or what your skin type is, you’re bound to find something you’ll end up putting onto your shopping basker. It wasn’t until the new Drops of Youth™ Bouncy Sleeping Mask was launched earlier this year, that made me think that TBS have really upped their game in skincare.

Firstly, can we talk packaging? A beautiful glass pot, which looks perfect in my bathroom. I love skincare brands which put that little bit extra into their packaging. Instantly I feel as though this is a super luxurious product. I feel that majority of this range has that ‘high end’ feel to it.

The texture of this face mask/moisturiser, is out of this world. Imagine what you get when you mix cornstarch and water together – you know, that solid yet liquidy, but ‘bouncy’ feel (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s amazing stuff!). At a glance you think it’s a creamy product, but when you put put your finger into it, you really can bounce your finger on it. Think memory foam! It’s a little tricky to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it’s a beautiful mask/moisturiser.

I call this a mask & moisturiser, because I use this as both – but generally speaking, I use this at night before I go to sleep. I try not to layer too many products, as it can leave your skin feeling a little sticky. A serum, eye-cream and this will do the trick! In the morning I’m left with hydrated, plumped and very soft skin. Personally, I use this when I feel like my skin needs some TLC. Overall, I think not only is the Bouncy Sleeping Mask a weird and wonderful product, but I also think it does great things to my skin. We’ve got a win, win situation here, guys & gals!

Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask is £22 & available HERE
